“Sell the cow, buy the sheep, but never be without the horse”

Oh so lovely treks

The main activity of Dara Stables is the organization of treks. We offer a wide range of different treks from one hour to many days, from walking trips to speed treks. Any trek you choosed it will be memorable experience with a lovely horse in beautiful views of Ireland. Treks are arranged on request for groups but occasionally organized theme treks are open to everyone. Usually treks are ridden with the horses of Dara Stable but in special cases it is possible to agree to bring your own horse.

One-hour trek around the area. Easy ground, coastal scenery and to more experienced a little mountain climbing.

Two-hour trek roaming the moors.

About an four-hour trek. A bit more challenging terrain and crossing the river by wading.

About an five-hour trek, same as the Riverside's trek but we stop by the tavern and eat something. Horses are tied to trees or left free, the tavern offer seasonal products, snacks, delicious food and soft drinks.

Three to four-hour trek in Wicklow mountains. Challenging terrain with attention-needed climbing.

A total of roughly nine-hour trek. Riding with a peaceful pace on a diverse terrain and those who are willing are able to go occasionally more briskly. We stop twice to eat, the first stop on the lean-to and the other at the tavern. At the tavern horses can rest on paddock. Service car runs along but due to terrain, it is not constantly available.

Two days of trekking. During the trek you get to know Wicklow's breathtaking scenery peacefully and to experience the charm of the speed in the middle of the moors. On the first day, we stop on a lean-to and on the farm of Storycroft, we stay at the inn and the next day both stops are at taverns.

Three days of challenging trekking in varied terrain. Evenly walking and trotting done trek contains climbing and crossing the river. We can also gallop but we still have to save horses. Delicious snacks are going with us in service car and tasty, varied meals are obtained from restaurants and taverns along the way. The trip is always a bit different and the participants' wishes are taken seriously.

Sadly at this moment it is not possible to book treks in english.
